DIGS (Developing Individuals, Growing Stewards) Agriculture Literacy Curriculum   arrow

Do your students know where their food comes from? Are they aware of possible career paths in agricultural fields? Are you interested in a curriculum that will give your students an overview of agriculture and grow their agricultural literacy? In partnership with Colorado State University’s (CSU) College of Agriculture, CSU Extension has developed a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)-based Agriculture Literacy Curriculum targeting elementary aged youth from 3rd through 5th grade. Our program seeks to increase awareness of and engagement with agriculture through knowledge, relationships, and experiences. This curriculum utilizes the 4-H model of hands-on, experiential learning and invites the youth to partake in environmental stewardship as they learn just how important agriculture is!
