The Colorado 4‑H Shooting Sports Program plays an important role in youth development across the state. Participants build key life skills, including teamwork, responsibility, problem‑solving, self‑confidence, and the safe handling of firearms and archery equipment. State events
Colorado 4-H State Shooting Sports Championships
- Weekend 1 – August 22 – 23
- .22 Rifle, Air Rifle, Air Pistol, Archery, Muzzleloading
- NOTE: Archery will be held at the Colorado State Fairgrounds due to current fire conditions. Please review this map for Gate Information
- Weekend 2 – September 5 – 6

State 4-H Shooting Sports Championship Superintendents it has been determined that the updated version of the Crossman Challenger air rifle model #CH 2021, is not eligible for 4-P Air Rifle classes. Potential updates and edits such as the description of eligible air rifles will be reviewed by the State 4-H Shooting Sports Advisory Committee this fall and any edits or changes to the rules will be reflected in the rules after that time.
